Which Jumao 5L model do I have?

The JUMAO 5 L concentrator has been sold in the United States under several distributor labels and has gone through two base designs, so the cabinet, access window, base and power cord you need depend on which version you have. Three checks tell you which parts to order.

1. Read the label plate

The label plate carries the model (JM-5B i or JMC5A Ni), the serial number and the date of manufacture. Note all three before ordering or requesting a repair; the serial number is what we need for a warranty claim.

2. Check the distributor label and cabinet colour

The brand on the front of the cabinet and the cabinet colour identify the cabinet and access window versions:

• Compass – grey cabinet. Cabinet assembly, grey, Compass; access window classic style or new style.
• Dalton / Rhythm – black cabinet, old-style base. Cabinet assembly, black and access window, black.
• Direct Supply – cream cabinet, old or new base. Cabinet, cream, old base, cabinet, cream, new base; access window old-style louvers or new style.
• Medacure – grey cabinet, old or new base. Cabinet assembly, grey, old base, cabinet, grey, new base, humidifier bottle bracket; access window classic style or new style.

3. Old-style or new-style base?

Look at where the power cord enters the base. On the old-style base the cord passes through a threaded port and is held by a locking nut on the cord. On the new-style base the cord clips into a slot. The two are not interchangeable: an old-style base takes the threaded cord with locking nut, a new-style base takes the slotted cord, and the old-style and new-style bases are separate parts.

Access window and filter styles

The access window is the louvered panel over the cabinet filter. Units with the classic (old-style) louvers use the classic-style foam filter (also sold as a 10-pack); units with the new-style window use the new-style foam filter.
